La scheda Possibilità d'uso permette di scegliere il livello di funzionalità che si desidera HyperCard fornisca. 
Sono disponibili 5 livelli d'uso, da "facile" ad avanzato:

1. CONSULTARE         Consultazione basata su menù e pulsanti 
2. INSERIRE TESTO    più composizione testo
3. DISEGNARE            più uso degli strumenti di Disegno
4. ASSOCIARE           più nuovi pulsanti, campi e collegamenti
5. PROGRAMMARE      più l'uso del linguaggio HyperTalk

• "Cursori testo" sono disponibili per i livelli d'uso 2,3,4 e 5.
Permettono all'utente di muoversi lungo il testo di un campo usando le quattro frecce della tastiera. 
• I "Tasti Speciali" sono disponibili ai livelli 3,4 e 5. Essi permettono l'uso di scorciatoie per i comandi di disegno (per esempio, battere M per Disegno Multiplo...)
Fare un clic sul pulsante di selezione ha lo stesso effetto di scegliere "Tasti Speciali" nel menù "Opzioni".
• "Comandi Nascosti" è disponibile solo per il livello 5. Permette di battere un messaggio nella finestra Comandi quando questa è nascosta (consente la visione di tutta la scheda quando necessario)
• Il livello d'uso può essere controllato scegliendo "Proteggi stack" nel menù "Arch." o usando HyperTalk (Es.: "set userlevel to 2", scritto nella finestra Comandi o in un Programma, imposta il livello Inserire Testo) 
• Le tre schede dei percorsi dello stack Home: Stack, Applicazioni e Documenti, sono disponibili solo al livello 5.
